There are of course so many wonderful things about spring time in the Hudson Valley, but one thing is for certain – it gets muddy. When we work with clients who have dogs, young children, and/or love to walk around and hike we design efficient and clean mudrooms. While “clean mudroom” may sound like an oxymoron, we often design to keep clutter organized and behind doors to maintain a tidy home.
We are currently designing mudroom layouts for Undercliff, recently shared design iterations for Big Indian in our renovations post, and just updated the project description for Artists Ranch on our Portfolio Page that talks in-depth about the renovation’s large mudroom. Our mudroom designs are usually separate or hidden from our homes’ main entries. Rather than directly on the sides of an entry we sometimes put mudrooms off of a secondary entry or a more discrete room off of the main entry.
It’s been a while since we did a Design Inspiration post so we figured it’s the perfect time to talk about mudrooms!
