Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful start to the new year and a great first few weeks of January.
The studio has been busy! We keep having to ask ourselves if it is really only the third week of the year. We’ve been lucky enough to start working on a number of new projects and have been busy getting ready for design meetings on a number of projects. We are also looking forward to final walkthroughs and punchlists on a few more!
In the Studio
Quattro Construction Documents
We’ve been working through structural drawings and wall sections for Quattro – check out the image below for a peek at our redlining process. We’ve had a lot of fun collaborating and brainstorming how to make each piece of this project work!
Misty Hollow
Before the holidays, we had a productive first design meeting with our client to discuss the different options for expanding the property. For now, we’re moving forward with designing a new house for this multi-generational family! We’ve been having fun sketching through ideas and changes to our first conceptual plan and are looking forward to our next meeting later this month!
New Projects
We don’t have much to share yet, but we are super excited to be starting five new projects this January! We’re working on some great renovations in Woodstock, Olivebridge, Shokan and Bearsville. We’re also looking forward to starting a major renovation project in Pound Ridge!
Nearly Complete!
Woodland Pop House
Wow wow wow! We are SO in love with this house! There are so many absolutely incredible moments to share and the color coordination is just amazing. The best part? We love how the house is so perfectly suited for our clients! We cannot wait to see the finished product and to be able to share final photos of this project!
Hemlock Hideaway
The built-in bookshelf stair railing is in the middle of install at this fun renovation project in Accord. The kitchen was also recently completed and looks fantastic!
SkyHaus
We’ve been plugging away at the last punchlist items at SkyHaus. It is such a beautiful home and we are so excited to see all of the details come together!
Fermata
We are looking forward to doing a final punchlist walkthrough with our client next week! The house looks amazing and it’s been so fun to see our client start to decorate and arrange it to her liking.
On Site and In Construction
8 Oaks
Progress at 8 Oaks has resumed after a few strong storms last year. We are so excited to see this project make progress! When we stopped by over the winter holidays, drywall was going up and siding prep was nearly complete. It was also great to see the impressive curtain wall fully installed and exposed. So cool!
Artists’ Ranch
Steel went up at Artists’ Ranch in early January! We’re looking forward to seeing the main living room area take shape in the coming months. We’ve also been working with our clients to finalize the interiors of this project – more soon!
Hudson House
Demo and structural work continues at Hudson House! This historic home in the town of Hudson had some pretty big challenges to overcome, including missing portions of its foundation. Luckily, we’ve been working closely with the GC and the homeowners to find solutions and save what we can from the original home!
IRIE House
Siding and drywall are up at IRIE House! The siding looks even more beautiful every time we visit – it is going to continue to grey and weather with continued exposure to sunlight.
