We like to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a post we like to call “Love Home”. We started this series back in 2014, with a post sharing what some of our readers love about their homes. All of your answers were so good that we’ve continued the series nearly every year. From inspiration from friends, to showcasing the objects that make home meaningful, we’ve covered a lot of different things all of us love about our homes. Some years, we’ve asked fellow architects about their homes. Other years, we’ve asked our team about the way that they think about home. Our last Love Home post in 2019 showcased some of our completed homes, bringing the focus back to our clients.
After a brief hiatus on the Love Home series, we thought 2022 was a great year to bring it back. We’ve all spent more time at home in the past years – and have hopefully all found new things to love! We thought we’d share a few “Love Home” moments from our more recent clients and our more recent homes. This year features many of our favorite furry friends! What do you love about your home? Feel free to share in the comments!
CasaNooga
CasaNooga has a new member of the family who is absolutely loving his new home. Meet Ranger! He loves all of the unique moments of CasaNooga and has even embraced the stair as his own kind of climbing wall! Our clients say, “We are now guests in our own home… and he LOVES the house”.
Bully Hill House
Our clients love Bully Hill House’s connection between interior and exterior. Our clients write: “The views are amazing, with the house organized to give glimpses, rather than give it all away at once. Each area of the house offers different views and ways to connect to the outdoors.”
“We love the summer breezes that pass through the space between the house and the art studio. The overhang of the roof on the south side of the house gives us more sunlight in the winter and less in the summer.” Copper, our clients’ pup, also loves all of the outdoor space!
Fly Modern
Jasper, who has been a part of the Fly Modern family since we started working on this home, has a new friend. Meet Plume, who loves everything about her home! From enjoying the space under the stairs, to lounging in the entryway with Jasper, to playing in the snow by the lake, she is thrilled to live at Fly. Of course, Jasper still loves his home too – especially the moments in the sun.
Cat Hill
Our client’s favorite part of her home is, unsurprisingly, her floating fitness studio. From summer through winter, each season brings a new view and a new feeling to the space. #nevergetsold
