After a very busy May, the past few weeks have been on the quieter side for the studio. We are eagerly awaiting the final photographs from BC Retreat – we picked out our favorite shots a couple of weeks ago and are so excited to share them with you later this month!
We also published our latest issue of Valley MMag – make sure to pickup a copy at a coffee shop or small business near you! We’ll be distributing copies throughout the coming months up until Upstate Art Weekend in mid-July.
Otherwise, we’ve been busy building, designing and looking ahead to a very fun summer season!
On the Boards
Mad Beach House
We’re continuing to work on the details for this super cool home on Madeira Beach in Florida. In addition to coordinating with our structural engineer client on all things technical, we’ve been working on finessing the flow of a few different spaces. We’ve been particularly focused on the kitchen and dining room areas, sketching through the various pathways and axes that exist in the home to make sure it will function as our clients dream that it will!
Fowler Lake
We met with our Fowler Lake clients just last week to finalize our Design Development phase of drawings. We reviewed their selections, took a look at a few minor design updates, and talked about the more technical parts of the project – HVAC systems and structural plans. The clients also showed us tile samples they had picked up and we finalized a few window selections! We’re looking forward to jumping into CDs and bidding the project!
In Construction
Artists’ Ranch
Artists’ Ranch continues to move along. Siding is being installed and electrical rough-in work has started. The fireplace box and sliding door in the new main living area were also installed this past month – this is going to be such an amazing space to spend time in!!
IRIE House
So much progress at IRIE! We are racing towards the finish line on the project. Millwork and finishes have been continuing install. The kitchen is looking great, the sunken living room is starting to come together and we templated for countertops just last week!
Hudson House
Shoring work is finally complete at Hudson House and the interior has all been opened up and prepped for the new interior partitions. The new addition is nearly framed – we’re so excited to see this older home being brought back to life!
Accord Addition
Demo and excavation are underway at our Accord Addition project. We’re working with our clients to add a pool house and small addition to their home. We’re excited to get the project properly underway!
Vannstrom
Vannstrom has a roof! We love the way this house nestles into the site and how simple and clean the approach to the house is. We can’t wait for windows!!
Pond Lane
Last but not least, our Pond Lane renovation project has been fully demo’d and framing is underway. The new views from the loft space promise to be spectacular – just wait until a wall of windows goes in!
