Construction is moving along quickly at Tranquil Abiding and the house is looking great! (Check out all of the progress since our last Construction Update post in December.) The goal is for this project to be complete by the middle of April – if not sooner – so things are finishing up fast. It’s certainly fun to have so many new things to share…
Exterior stonework continues and looks more amazing every time I see it. Finalizing the stone requires coordination with the roof and metal flashing/fascia among other things so it’s not yet complete. It has been a long process but we couldn’t be happier with the end result.
Metal fascia is going up at the edge of the roof. (You can see that on the floating roof over the entry.)
Insulation and drywall have been installed throughout, and the drywallers are now working on the level 5 finish.
Bulthaup kitchen cabinets are in and the countertop fabricator was on site during our last walk-through. He and his team were measuring for the countertops and making sure we had all details sorted out for the cantilevered countertop on the island.
Radiant heat is on and warming. HVAC vents are being installed and the exterior units should be on site soon.
Almost all of the bathroom tile is in and the large format tiles our clients chose look fantastic!
During our site visit we made a final decision on wood finishes for the floor, front door, and ceiling of the meditation pavilion, and those will all be going on/in/up soon too.
So much progress to report – we are excited to see this house come together so beautifully!
