Construction is underway on our Big Indian Reno project! We are really excited to see this project come to fruition – it’s a really fun renovation that has amazing views of the Big Indian Wilderness in the Catskills. The renovation includes removing the original log cabin portion of the home and connecting a new modern addition to the home’s existing two story volume. We worked closely with our clients to pull in references to Indian architecture and to make the home feel personal. For more on the design of this project, check out our Behind the Design post!
Snowy Demo and Framing
The images below give you an idea of the amazing mountain views that the new living areas and decks will have! These images were sent to us courtesy of the contractor before we were able to do a site visit. It’s great to see the beginnings of the transformation.
February Site Visit
We were able to stop by a couple weeks ago to check in on construction progress. Framing has been moving steadily along and it was great to be onsite to discuss a few questions and coordination items. We also had a chance to review some samples!
Window Installation
Windows started going in at the end of February. We love how bright the new space will feel and are looking forward the views from the bumped-out window seat!
