Sometimes one large modern picture window is even more remarkable than an entire house of glass: A captured view as a “wow moment” rather than expansive and all-encompassing glass can make a bold statement in your home.
Don’t get me wrong, as I mentioned in last week’s post we LOVE to design houses with lots of glass! But as the images below will hopefully portray, every once in a while one moment can make an even bigger impression.
We are early in the process of designing a modern home in the Catskill Region of Ulster County, New York, and have been putting together and collecting inspirational images from our clients… The image below – the most perfect Modern Picture Window, in my opinion – was one of the very first images our clients showed as as a “favorite” for what their home would be like. I now have this photo pinned up (literally) in my office right next to my desk for inspiration….Very excited about this new project!
Happy viewing!

Well… more of a Picture Room than merely a Picture Window, but definitely still a wow spot. Russet Residence by Splyce Design, Photography is by Ivan Hunter.
