Design Inspiration: Outdoor Living Space

A number of our current projects are focusing their attention on one of the best parts of building a house in upstate New York: the outdoors. Often, our clients want indoor space that flows seamlessly into an outdoor living space. In other cases, we are designing a number of outdoor spaces, each with their own program and intention. We’ve been looking at second floor roof decks, courtyard spaces, patios tucked beneath second floor overhangs, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens and many more ways of connecting to the surrounding landscape. Check out some of the design inspiration images we’ve been collecting for Skyhaus and for other upcoming projects. With spring just around the corner, perhaps you’ll find some inspiration for your own outdoor space…

Skyhaus - Modern home in upstate new york

As you can see from the images above, our design for Skyhaus will feature a fantastic second floor roof deck. We’ve been sketching thru options for how the deck will be arranged, and finding lots of great inspiration for the seating areas and for an outdoor fireplace.
