We’re working on a number of projects right now that includes space for a home gym. We have a garage renovation that will include a home gym, a spa bath and a sauna that is currently under construction in Rhinebeck. We also recently started working on a renovation and addition that features a home gym for a family of four. Gym spaces that provide a connection to the outdoors and that bring lots of natural light into the space are a must. Home gyms also have to be flexible and suitable for a wide variety of workouts. For our addition project, the clients have a few large pieces of equipment, but they also enjoy doing yoga, so the space has to be able to accommodate both activities!
Of course, our favorite home gym inspiration to share is the space that we designed for our client at Cat Hill!
Cat Hill
The floating fitness studio at Cat Hill is the perfect spot for a workout. Our client for this project is a marathon runner and wanted a space that would motivate her to train. The studio is also the best place in the house to observe the changing seasons throughout the year!
