As we shared in our Behind the Design post last month, Woodland Pop House is under construction! Demo began late last year, so we’re extremely pleased with how much progress has been made since then. After pouring the concrete piers and installing steel supports, the music studio addition has been fully framed. The new window and door openings have also been framed in and windows have been ordered – we’re eagerly awaiting their arrival!
In the meantime, the GC has made quick work of the interior spaces, which were significantly reorganized. Recently, we’ve been working closely with our clients on electrical decisions so that rough-in can be completed. Check out the photos below to see this project come to life!

Piers, steel and the beginnings of framing for the new music studio addition
Insert future music studio here…
The new addition takes shape as we coordinate interior work.
The music studio will have a roof deck that overlooks a 180 degree view of the Hudson Valley.
The addition will also include a new main entry and mudroom space.
Since we have a steeply sloping site that we wanted to minimally disturb, the music studio touches down lightly to the site.
On the interior, framed openings took shape and we did some additional coordination work with the contractor and clients.
The view from the new sliding doors that open to the roof deck will be spectacular.
Now, we’re working on finessing interior framing – including the floors and ceiling in the library space downstairs (on left).
