Very excited to share the construction progress on FLY Modern (2) with you!
Our contractors began building this house just a few months ago and by now the wall framing is almost complete. The footings and foundation walls were put in place first, but the contractor has elected to wait until after the roof is closed in to place/pour the concrete floor. We’ve done this sequence before on a couple of other projects so it’s not something new for us to see, but it is not the typical way to build. The reason they chose to wait is because polished concrete will be the finished floor on the first floor. The less construction activity that happens on that floor the better the end result will be. Makes sense to me!
