FLY Modern 2, Under Construction
Very happy to see all the progress on FLY Modern (2)! The contractors have been hard at work getting this house framed up, dried in, and almost ready for drywall. The electrical, plumbing and mechanical rough-ins are complete, and after the contractors install the insulation they can close up the walls and start on finishes!
Our time lapse video below shows all of the progress so far. As I was putting this together I realized it looks like there is a lot of time spent on the foundation and under slab prep – and there is! This is a slab on grade foundation and the first floor finish is polished concrete… In addition to compacting the dirt and gravel in and around the stem walls, all piping that goes in or under the slab – electrical, plumbing and in-slab heating – must be installed before the concrete floor can be poured. Constructing a home from the ground up is a lot of work!
