During these uncertain times we’re trying to be positive, as per our usual in The Architect’s Notebook, and we’re hoping today’s post will add a welcome distraction to your day. Even though things have slowed down significantly – and construction on single-family homes has almost completely come to a halt in NY State – I’m still happy to be able to share what’s been happening over the last few months.
Virtual meetings and social media make it possible for our clients to be excited seeing their homes coming to life. We want to talk today about progress and share some fun under-construction photos for one of our modern home renovation projects in New Paltz, NY: Hasbrouck Ranch. Our contractors have been hard at work, and this house is looking great!
This modest ranch house has come a long way from the house we walked through with our client in the first meeting. Our renovation and addition soon became essentially new construction after our contractor got into the demo and found that renovating would actually be more work than taking most of the house down and starting new. So that’s what we did. Below are photos from “before” through where we are now – framing is up and we’re hopeful that the roof will go on SOON! ….as soon as time allows. Stay safe out there!
