Summer is here, and the studio is buzzing. We’ve got projects wrapping up, projects in the thick of it, and a fresh round of new designs taking shape. Here’s a look at what the team has been up to lately for our early summer update!

Presenting Woodland Pop House
We’re thrilled to have officially launched Woodland Pop House on our website — and this one holds a special place in our hearts. Nestled into a steeply sloping site in Accord, this renovation transformed a home that “never quite fit” into something light-filled, rhythmic, and deeply personal. What makes this project stand out is the journey: we worked with our clients through schematic design for nearly three years, iterating and exploring until we got it exactly right. The result is a home that celebrates bold color, panoramic Catskill views, and the courage to be personal. We’re so proud of it — read the full story on our website.

VIA43 Featured by Marvin Windows
We’re so grateful to Marvin for featuring VIA43 in their latest video case study! Marica takes you on a personal tour through the design journey of her own Hudson Valley home and office — a behind-the-scenes look at a project that is very close to all of our hearts. Watch the full video on YouTube.

Valley MMag Spring/Summer 2026
The Spring/Summer 2026 issue of Valley MMag is out now — and it’s a great one! This issue includes a feature on Studio MM’s collaboration with Vernacular Design on VIA43, alongside beautiful spreads from Chleo Kingston, Millhouse Brewing Co., and Carrie Haddad Gallery. Pick up a copy at a local coffee shop or read it online.

Spring Team Offsite
Every year we look forward to our team offsite, and this spring’s did not disappoint. Three days, great food, site visits, screen printing, birdfeeder brainstorming, and a wood-fired dinner under the sky — the team came home inspired and energized (and with some very unique souvenirs). See the full recap on the blog.

In Design
The Nest
The Nest has made a big leap forward — we’re deep into Construction Documents and almost there! Coordinating the structure and how the house settles into its site has been one of the more engaging puzzles of this phase. The team has been working closely to coordinate structural and mechanical systems to get everything just right.

Stony Clove
Stony Clove is wrapping up final Schematic Design, and it’s been a really rewarding process. This project has a very unique site and a thoughtful, layered program, and working closely with the clients to dial in every aspect of the layout has been one of the highlights of the past few months. We’re getting it finessed to give this family everything they need — and want.

Red Barn Reno
We’re just getting started on Schematic Design for Red Barn Reno, and it’s already a fun one. The scope includes converting a garage space into a shared office for the clients, with a comfortable guest area upstairs. We’re exploring schemes and ideas with the client and loving the creative problem-solving this one brings.

Queensbury Reno
Queensbury Reno is in Bidding and Permitting — we recently met with the GC on site and submitted for permit. We’re also finalizing the material palette and fixtures, which is always one of the most exciting parts of the process. The interior presentation is looking great and we can’t wait to see this one move into construction.

Beacon Firehouse
Design Development is well underway on the Beacon Firehouse conversion! We’ve finished Schematic Design on this old firehouse-turned-single-family-home. We explored how to use outdoor spaces thoughtfully while honoring the character of the existing structure. A central stair is shaping up to be the “spine” of the home, and exterior design work has begun. We’re looking forward to intial demo beginning in the next couple weeks and presenting the interiors to our clients soon!

Misty Hollow
Misty Hollow is back on the boards! After some thoughtful consideration, we’ve pivoted to working on an addition and renovation of the main house — a direction that feels really right for this multi-generational family. The new proposal includes a large living room, dining room, and kitchen addition, along with a reconfiguration of the existing house to better serve everyone who calls it home.

In Construction
Rhinecliff Guesthouse
The transformation of this basement is really coming along! New HVAC systems and ductwork have already opened up the space beautifully, and the ceiling has never looked better. Next steps are closing up the walls and bringing the finishes in.

Quattro
Quattro is humming along beautifully. Drywall is hung, taping and sanding are complete, and interior priming and painting (Phase 1) is done. Siding installation is now underway, and the septic tank was installed in May. It’s been fun to help this home come together so steadily!

Gallery at Cluster One
Things are moving fast at The Gallery at Cluster One. Footings and foundation have been poured, the slab is in, framing is complete, and electrical is now in progress. A lot of progress in a short stretch — the team is excited to see this one continue to take shape.

Hudson House
Hudson House is deep in its finishing phase. Drywall is complete, millwork installation is underway, and the railing design has been finalized with the metal fabricator. The details are starting to come together in a really satisfying way on this one.

Artists’ Ranch
Artists’ Ranch is in the thick of its final layers. Millwork installation is in progress, tile finishes are nearing completion, and stair details have been finalized and are now in production. The materiality of this project is something we’re really proud of — we can’t wait to share more.

Pond Lane
Pond Lane is coming along steadily — wood floors are installed, walls are painted, exterior siding is almost complete, and the ceiling and rafter ties are done. A real range of milestones ticked off this stretch.

MCM Reno
Good momentum at MCM Reno! Kitchen cabinets are complete, appliances and countertops are installed, and the pantry area is almost done. The primary bathroom and laundry area are also framed and insulated.

Mt Tremper Cottage
Mt Tremper Cottage has had a big few months. The concrete floor is complete, wood flooring is installed upstairs, ceiling insulation is in for sound control, drywall is installed and painted in several areas, bathroom finishes are in, and the kitchen skylight and window are nearly complete.

MCM32
MCM32 is in the early but exciting stages of construction. Demolition is almost complete (including some damaged framing from termites that needed addressing), and the existing concrete slab has been removed. A clean slate and a great foundation — literally — for what’s ahead.

Olivebridge Reno
A lovely milestone at Olivebridge Reno: the clients have moved back in! Finishes, fixtures, and millwork are all complete. We’re excited to have this one wrapped up!

Vannstrom
The pool at Vannstrom is complete — just in time for summer! And with that, the project is done. Congratulations to our client on a beautiful finished home!

It’s been a productive few months! The team is energized and the summer ahead is full of exciting milestones across the board. More to come — stay tuned!
