Fall in the studio always feels like it flies by! We had a busy past month with final photography and a very special awards celebration, along with continued progress on projects in design and in construction.
AIA Awards
We are so grateful and excited to share the news that just last week, BC Retreat received an Honor Award at the AIA Westchester Hudson Valley Design Awards. Marica and Tracy attended the awards celebration and really enjoyed meeting other architects, contractors and community members in the area.

We are also very excited to share that Marica received the 2025 Visionary Award from the AIA WHV Chapter. The award recognizes her deep commitment to innovative design, impactful projects, and community leadership here in the Hudson Valley and beyond. Congrats to Marica – we couldn’t be prouder of her for this well-deserved achievement!
Photography with Marvin
In mid-October, the team from Marvin spent a few days with us at VIA43! We loved spending time with their photography team and showing off this home. We’re excited to see the final photos and how Marvin puts them to use!

Final Photos at Woodland Pop House and Fermata
We are equally excited to have recently spent some time with Brad Feinknopf! Our collaborations with Brad have always been full of fun and beauty, but these two homes were especially fun to photograph, as both sets of clients were able to be involved and present for some of the photographs. We recently got proofs back and cannot wait to see and share the final edited versions very soon!

In Design
Queensbury Reno
We are kicking off a new project this week that we’re calling Queensbury Reno. This existing home has a spectacular site. We’ll be helping our clients make the most of their space, as well as providing guidance on some master planning as they work to add a pool to the property. We had a great (though rainy) site visit on Monday and are looking forward to digging into the design!

Laurel Ridge
We’ve also been hard at work on a project that we’re calling Laurel Ridge. We’ve recently been investigating different siding options for this barn-inspired home. From shou sugi ban to a light washed cedar, we did some initial explorations of many different color palettes!

In Construction
Olivebridge Reno
We have officially started construction at Olivebridge Reno! Located just down the road from our office, we’re helping the clients of this existing log cabin style home modernize the interiors and add a more functional front entry. Recently, the foundation was poured for the new entry. On the inside, demo is being done with care, as much of the existing home will remain. We’re looking forward to seeing the fun updates to this existing home come to life!

8 Oaks
We are very close to wrapping up construction at 8 Oaks! We were in town just a couple weeks ago. Interior painting was ongoing, millwork installation continues to make progress, and the pavers were being installed around the pool courtyard. The whole house is really coming together!

Artists’ Ranch
Drywall has been going up at Artists’ Ranch! This is always one of our favorite moments during construction, as the house really begins to transform into a new space.

Jardin66
Jardin66 has made some terrific progress since our last update. New windows have been installed, drywall is up, and the contractor has been hard at work on prepping the house for siding. The interiors have made such a terrific transformation while retaining the feel of the old cabin with the exposed wood posts and beams.

Vannstrøm
Millwork installation has started at Vannstrøm! The white oak and black cabinets in the kitchen give the space a nice warmth and we love the contrast between the two materials. The front door was also recently installed – we love that our client chose a pop of color!

Mad Beach House
Demolition has started at Mad Beach House! The views from the new home are going to be spectacular – and the home will be much safer from future storms. We can’t wait to see this fun project start to take shape.
