Architects (and creative folks in general) are always looking for inspiration! We’ve been collecting images recently for a Schematic Design meeting with one of our clients… (You may have seen us post some of our 3d model sketches for this project if you follow us elsewhere.) Well, our meeting was a success and we’re all excited about the direction we’re heading with the design.
Most of the images below are photographs of existing houses we found online. Some are renderings, which are still great inspiration to discuss in our office or with our clients. Presenting multiple images around a specific material and application makes it easier for our clients to more confidently dismiss or like an idea. To go back to the “ownership of design” discussion in a previous post about the way we work with our clients: we prefer to spark a discussion during our meetings. We learn a lot more that way too.
Hopefully you’ll get some inspiration from our collection of Modern Materials: White + Wood as well. Enjoy!
