The Lantern House entryway – simple and subtle – still brings a “wow” as one enters the home.
In honor of our Lantern House Open House this weekend, Nov 1, I’m writing today about one of my favorite moments in the house: the view through the entry. As a visitor enters the home, he or she can see through the house to the trees beyond – which is the main focus for this house in the woods. The best view is still from the living room, but I love that the trees and outdoors are a constant feature throughout, as soon as you step in the door.
View Through Entryway
Some of the images we’re sharing below were used as inspiration for our initial design for the Lantern House. We’ve also included a few more to emphasize the idea that “wow” doesn’t mean the entry has to be elaborate or excessive to be amazing!
