Plus House floats along the gentle slope of a fern covered hill, evoking a sense of living within the tree canopy. Our client’s wish list informed the different elements of the house and materiality helped to delineate those spaces.

The balance between solid and translucent, natural and artificial was carefully considered. A single concrete mass supports the main volume of the house, and the more private areas are stepped along the hillside. The ample deck space is intended to bring our clients closer to nature and the screened-in area with an outdoor fireplace invites year-round use.This house is designed for Campion Farms, a meticulously well-kept set of properties in the Berkshires.
