The last half of June and the beginning of July have included a very special tour of IRIE House and lots of pre-construction prep for our newest Construction Management project. We’ve also been gearing up to start a new renovation project and getting excited about checking out all of the excitement around the upcoming Upstate Art Weekend!
Art Fort at Upstate Art Weekend
In case you’ve missed the exciting news, we are so thrilled that our very own Art Fort will be one of the stops during this weekend’s Upstate Art Weekend! Organized by our artist client, the open studio space will showcase the work of Paolo Arao, Natalie Beall, Will Hutnick, Suzy Sureck, and Ruth Freeman. The space will be open from 11am – 5pm from Thursday until Monday, so make sure to find it on the Upstate Art Weekend map and stop by!
Tour of IRIE House
We were also lucky enough to play host to a tour by a group of architects, designers and design-enthusiasts from the Westchester / Hudson Valley chapter of the AIA. We spent a wonderful evening together discussing the design and construction process of the project and sharing the space with our clients and our guests. Many thanks to Marvin for sponsoring the event and to the chapter for suggesting the tour and putting it all together!
Under Construction
8 Oaks
Marica was able to fly down to Tampa last week and stopped by to check out the incredible progress we are making on 8 Oaks! The exterior stone cladding is underway and it really pulls the house together. The pool is also in progress, and millwork install has begun.
Artists’ Ranch
Construction continues to make progress at Artists’ Ranch. Siding, soffits and windows are all in progress or completed. On the interior, HVAC and electrical work is ongoing and we are looking forward to seeing drywall installation move ahead soon!
IRIE House
In addition to the tour, IRIE has been a hub of activity this past month! We’ve been hard at work installing finishes and coordinating the last bits of work. It’s incredible how many different people have their hands in the project in the last few weeks of construction!
Montauk Catch Club
This new business in Rosendale is officially open! We are so excited to have fresh fish available in a cute new space in the area. Congrats to the team on opening!
Accord Addition
Footings are in place at our Accord Addition project, which includes a new pool house! We’re looking forward to seeing this project get underway.
Vannstrom
Windows and roofing have been installed at Vannstrom! The deck is also taking shape, which means that the overall form of the house is really coming together.

Ridge Road Addition
We are super excited to be starting work on a new project we’re calling Ridge Road Addition. We’ll be working with our clients to design a new garage and guest bedroom space for their existing mid-century style home. Our team was recently onsite to document existing conditions and take some measurements as we gear up to get started!
The Gallery at ClusterOne
We love past clients coming back to us – and we love being able to continue working with the clients of ClusterOne! They’ve been dreaming up a garage and gallery space – we can’t wait to meet with them soon to show off some of our ideas and schemes….! We took a site visit a few weeks ago to check out the location of the new space and meet with our clients for a Pre-Design session.
Mad Beach House
We’ve been working on sections and coordination for our beach house project in Florida. We’ve been doing redlines and internal reviews recently to make sure that we’re catching any of the critical items before this house gets passed back to the engineer (& our client!).
Misty Hollow
We’re also excited to share that we’ve pivoted from working on a new house at Misty Hollow to devising schemes for an extensive renovation and addition for the existing home. It’s a fun challenge and opportunity to create a multi-generational home using the existing structure – and we’ve had lots of fun brainstorming creative ways of reconfiguring and adding to the existing home!
