Construction Update June: Fermata

We’re very excited to share an update on one of our new construction projects this week – Fermata! Our last update was all the way back in September and covered everything from excavation to framing. Since then, windows have been installed, all of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in has been completed and insulation has been put in place. Last week, concrete floors were polished – they look amazing!

We’re in the midst of hanging drywall and are looking forward to painting, tile and millwork. Since this is one of our construction management projects, we’ve also been working on getting orders together for finish work, including HVAC grilles, interior lighting and stone cubbies, curbs and countertops. On the architecture side, we’ve been working closely with Cabinet Designers and Braxton Alexander to finalize shop drawings and get prepped for installation later this summer.

On the exterior, siding installation is nearly complete. We’re using an absolutely beautiful reSAWN product called Kebony Vette – it’s been easy to install and has a beautiful charred finish that will stay black for a long time. We’ll begin building the masonry fireplace later this week and are looking forward to progress on the exterior wood soffits. The steel column supporting the overhanging roof has also been installed, which means we can wrap up exterior metal work in the coming weeks!

Check out photos of all of our progress – we can’t wait to share more soon!
