Contemporary Housing and Urban Design Sara D Roosevelt Park, New York, NY Thesis Project, 2006 Parsons School of DesignContemporary strategies like folding and thickening of the urban surface within Sara D Roosevelt Park, redesigning the relationship between built and unbuilt form, we can begin to reconsider the integration of the park within the city. The addition of a specific dwelling type within the context of the site allows us to reconsider the traditional separation of housing and park as well as reinterpret housing based on the changing demographics of contemporary society.
